Handy snap-on lid lets your store oil right in the fryer to use again. Holds four cups of oil. Includes a scoop that stirs, separates, lifts, drains and serves. Nonstick surface makes for easy cleaning. Model #5420. One-year warranty.
Amazon.com Review You don't need a 6- gallon oil vat to enjoy deep- fried foods at home--this petite deep fryer makes four big servings with just 4 cups of oil. A compact 7 inches in diameter, the fryer features easy controls for precision frying: it automatically maintains the proper frying temperature, letting you focus on cooking instead of fussing with the controls. The fryer features a snap-on lid, so you can store oil right in the fryer for reuse. All surfaces are nonstick for tidy cleanup (the fryer is not dishwasher-safe and should never be completely immersed in water). A hand scoop is included with the fryer for easy stirring, lifting, and draining, and the 120-volt AC cord unplugs from the outlet, while the attached handle makes the fryer easy to move around the kitchen. The fryer has a two-year limited warranty. --Ariel Meadow Stallings

Small, but mighty July 28, 2010 Marci M. Norkin (PASADENA, CA United States) Amazingly well constructed, exceeded expectations, and is so easy to use - clean - store. I almost did not order, based upon a few recent negative reviews about the power level. After my scientist-engineer brain kicked in and ran a few calc's to determine the calculated heat at 120-volts versus 110-volts, I realized that they may not have been following manufacturers recommendations. The problem they most likely were having was operating at 110-volts rather than the REQUIRED 120-volts. The manual clearly and in bold states that you MUST operate at 120volts to obtain full temperature.
"Run, don't walk" to purchase this unit, as it is perfect for a 2-4 person family. For large families or groups, it may be on the small size; but, the size, quality, and price make it a must have utensil for every kitchen.
Fits in the cabinet July 8, 2010 Hide Love this little fryer. It actually holds a lot of food. It heats up quickly and fits perfectly on a shelf in my cabinet.
Works like a charm! June 29, 2010 Amber Hanford (Cedar Rapids, IA United States) Space is a premium in our house and we needed something small that would do the job. This is definitely it! We're able to store this in the cabinet between uses and pull it back out as needed. It is the perfect size. It stores well with the lid (make sure it's compeltely cooled first!) and it's easy to clean up. Much less dangerous than the previous pan frying we were doing.
I highly recommend this if you're looking for a smaller deep fryer for a small family or even just for yourself!
Even Frying, Great Times May 22, 2010 Charles Mahady (Seattle, WA) I used this fryer for several items the first time tonight and they all came out fantastically! The oil heated up within about ten minutes and stayed relatively hot throughout the frying process. French fries came out crispy and golden, and doughnuts were nice and golden brown. Simple product. Just a bucket with a heating element, no cover to prevent splattering but this didn't arise as a big problem. I picked mine up for ~$17 at my local drugstore on clearance.
FryDaddy Rocks April 22, 2010 Barbara J. Konen (Greenbelt, MD USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have a very large professional fryer that is more than difficult to use and empty. The FryDaddy is perfect for one or two people -- makes terrific shrimp, fish, chicken wings, veggies (asparagus, artichokes, mushrooms), and fried bread! I love it! The only reason I rated it a 4 instead of a 5 is that I would prefer if it had a lift out bucket for the oil.
