Product Description

The foods featured in the New York Times bestseller Flat Belly Diet! not only help women lose belly fat, they also happen to make delicious and healthy meals for the whole family. So that dieters can sit down to dinner with everyone, without having to cook special foods separately for themselves, the Flat Belly Diet! Family Cookbook features 150 scrumptious family-friendly classics (with a healthy MUFA twist), such as White Pita Pizzas and Baked Chicken Parmesan, and sweet treats, like the Choco-Nut Sundae and Peanut Butter No-Bake Bars. Each all-new recipe features belly-flattening monounsaturated fatty acids (or MUFAs), found in nuts and seeds, vegetable oils, olives, avocados, and dark chocolate.

The book also features:

• 2 weeks of sample menus for busy families on the go

• recipes for family get-togethers and holiday gatherings

• tips and advice on getting kids (and spouses) to adopt healthy eating habits

5 out of 5 stars Flat Belly on Good Food   August 30, 2010

If you can't find something to eat out of this book, then you are just too picky! The food is really good and not out of the ordinary. The key is portion size.

This is the second book i own in the 'Flat Belly Diet' series. Like i said in the other book review, i was very impressed with the recipes. I love the maple syrup oatmeal and the various snack recipes. As a working woman, i find it hard to find filling snacks, and i hate constantly snacking and i absolutely love the pretzels in dark chocolate. I also like the way has colour codes on the side to divide it between breakfasts, snacks, salads etc. Wonderful book, i've already cooked about 6 recipes and have not as yet been let down. Very impressed.

I have had this book for about a month now. I absolutely LOVE it!! Tonight we made the Thai Basil Chicken. It was absolutely wonderful!! I haven't made a recipe yet that we haven't enjoyed. Well, I do have a picky eater and he won't eat the tofu recipes but the rest of us have loved everything we made so far. I would highly recommend this book to any one.

1 out of 5 stars A disappointment   June 28, 2010

I've been doing the Flat Belly Diet since May, 2010. I love the diet and new way of healthy eating. My husband and I have 6 children, and I wanted to make small changes for our family without causing anarchy. I've been adapting our family meals slightly and spending a lot of time calculating calories for my homemade cooking. It's been a huge challenge. I was excited when I saw the family cookbook, so I bought it. I was so disappointed when I looked through the cookbook at page after page of meals I knew my kids wouldn't touch, even when bribed with dessert! The meals also seem to be made of uncommon and very expensive ingredients, which I also wouldn't make for budget reasons. I wouldn't recommend this book unless your family likes unique, gourmet-type meals.
