If you really want to make good mojitos, you need a muddler, and this is a great one. As its stainless steel, it doesn't rust, and easy to maintain. You can buy more expensive muddlers from other places, but this one does the job well, and also looks good on the bar.

I looked through ALL of the muddlers available at Amazon and chose this one. I'm very happy with my choice -- it works perfectly, feels great in your hand, has a colorful, sleek design, cleans easily, and provokes comments from guests as to how cool it is when it's being used. Oh, and the price is right. You won't go wrong with this Bacardi muddler.

I recently purchased the Bacardi Muddler for the exclusive purpose of making Mojitos... And was not disapointed at all.
The Muddler looks sharp with the Metal & Green coloring, and the Barcardi Bat symbol on the handle; and the metal body gives the Muddler a solid heavy feel that is made for durability.
But more importantly, it works! The last time I made Mojitos (or should I say "tried") I was without any Muddler, and so did my best by squeezing the limes, and then mashing the mint leaves with a wooden spoon. The result was not a genuine Mojito, but a sugar lime juice with some rum.
However, after using the Muddler for the 1st time this past 4th of July, I could already tell the drink was good before even mixing in the simple syrup & Rum, because I could smell the mint from the leaves being extracted. I would say it took my Mojitos from a modest 5, to a solid 9.5... I didn't get a single complaint on the Mojitos, but rather a half dozen compliments.
Good product, pays for itself within the first use, for those who know quality that is...

Making a Mohito is great - a very refreshing and light drink. Using the "cool" factor. There you are making your friends a mixed drink and "muddling" the lime and fresh mint. "He makes a great Mojito!" Adds credibility and fun.
