This eight-inch round Basics pan is durably constructed of two-ply steel, fortified with ETP (electro-tin plating) for rust-resistance, and coated with a proprietary silicone-based nonstick finish so that cakes slide out easily. Casseroles brown nicely, too, thanks to the dark gray color chosen for the finish. I love the fact that it is 8" as this is a difficult size to find. The quality is fine, but the pan itself is a bit thin.

I'm not crazy about non-stick surfaces because they do need extra care, but I use a couple of these for shortbread and they've been perfect. The wedges pop right out easily, and they turn nicely tan on the bottom without overheating and scorching. Fantastic value for the price.

After looking everywhere for an 8 inch round cake pan to no avail, I finally resorted to Amazon. I ordered three of the Baker's Secret Basic Nonstick and have used it several times with great results. Not being a profesional baker, I am satisfied with the product - so far. The pans are easy to handle, clean and hopefully they will have good durability and eventhough there are other more expensive brands and higher quality pans in the market, I am happy with mine!!!
